  Raise Your Voice

Hilary Duff wasn't kidding when she said it was a much more dramatic role than she had previously played before.  Raise Your Voice showcases just how versatile Hilary Duff can be, and how incredibly talented she truly is, despite what the critics say and the low turnout at the box office.

I think one of the problems with the low turnout in the theaters is that people simply weren't ready to see Hilary Duff in such a dramatic role, and unfortunately her legion of much younger fans might not have been as enthusiastic in Hilary Duff playing a role so very different from what they have been accustomed to from the television show, Lizzie McGuire.

The story had incredibly heart touching scenes.  Hilary said that she hoped seeing this movie will help inspire other people to follow their dreams.  If this doesn't do the trick for somebody, I don't know what will.  That person would probably need to have near miss with a bolt of lightning to get their attention.

Hilary Duff plays the part of Terri Fletcher, who dreams of become a singer.  So, she applies to a Summer Music Conservatory.  It just happens to be one of the best in the nation.  He brother gives her a little extra help with a special little something he puts together himself.  That special little something will make a big impact later on, in more ways than one.

Hilary Duff looks really cute in this movie.  However, Like never before, we get a glimpse of Hilary Duff of what Hilary Duff looks like without all her makeup on.  Its evident, especially on the big screen, that yes, Hilary Duff does have some little freckles. =-O

Well, actually we did see her freckles back in Casper Meets Wendy, but that's for those of us who saw that old movie of hers. :)

Raise Your Voice was an excellent movie.  When I went to the first showing at my local theater, the place was fairly empty.  I assumed that it was because it was a school day.  Unfortunately, the movie didn't pick up too much over the weekend either.  I still love the movie and would like to see it again.

I hope that those of you out there reading this will make sure to make your best effort at watching this movie yourselves.  If for no other reason, to see the prettiest girl that ever walked the face of the planet again. ;)
